SBI’s Six Strategy yields growth in india

State Bank’s new chairmen, Arundhati Bhattacharya yields growth by her six strategy.

Bhattacharya recovered bad loan crisis, Rs. 65,000 crore of Non -performing Assests was a huge amount bigger than the loan book of private sector banks.

The another reason noticed by bhattacharya for the growing loan crisis seemed were declining economy which least borrowers able to re-pay, this looked as a major problem as the way bank was performing.

To deal with such crisis,Bhattacharya made ‘Super six’ strategy that included:

1. Improving Asset Excellence

2. Cost normalization

3. Managing the risk

4. Digitalisation

5. Fast approach to customers

6. Relocating Human Resource

With these six prolonged strategy, Bhattacharya upgraded the State bank’s loan crisis.

Dealing with the asset was the top priority for Bhattacharya, she also worked to improve the other areas like risk management and customer delivery channel.

SBI is the only public sector lender that said to sell stressed assets to asset reconstruction on daily basis.
